Heart Failure with Obesity Study
Adelaide SA | Frankston VIC
A research study looking at a new medication for people with Heart Failure and Obesity.
- Age > 18 years
- BMI ≥ 30kg/m2
- Heart function > 40% (tested within 12 months or at screening visit)
- Weekly self-injection
- Not taking Ozempic/Mounjaro for 90 days prior to screening
- Can be diabetic or non-diabetic
Efficacy and Safety of a new medication in Participants with Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Obesity or Overweight who are not diabetic
- Age > 18 years
- Known moderate to severe OSA (free repeat sleep study during screening)
- BMI ≥27kg/m2
- At least one self reported unsuccessful dietary effort to reduce body weight
- Not diabetic
- Planned or prior surgery for obesity (some exceptions)
- No active cancer or history of cancer in last 5 years (some exceptions)
- Not using Mounjaro/Ozempic type medications for at least 90 days prior to screening
Effect of Muvalaplin tablet on the reduction of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with elevated Lipoprotein(a), who have had a prior atherosclerotic cardiovascular event, or are at risk for a first atherosclerotic cardiovascular event.
- Age > 18 years
- Lp(a) blood test taken at pre-screening or screening visit
- Oral tablet taken daily
- History of coronary artery disease (heart attack, bypass grafts or stroke) OR
- History of peripheral artery disease (amputation, stents in legs) OR
- At risk of having a coronary or peripheral arterial event (need to have 4 risk factors)
Fatty Liver Disease and Overweight
Adelaide SA
A study to investigate the effect of a new medication in adults with Fatty Liver Disease and Obesity who are at risk of developing worsening liver disease.
- Age > 18 years
- BMI ≥ 25kg/m2
- Previous liver scan preferable
- Not taking Ozempic/Mounjaro
- Weekly self-injection
- Elevated Liver Fat content - assessed at screening
- No history of surgical treatment for obesity (some exceptions)
- Not diabetic type 1
Heart Disease, Diabetes and High Blood Pressure Study
Adelaide SA | Frankston VIC
A study to test a new medication in combination with Empagliflozin (a currently available medication) in people with Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
- Age > 18 years
- History of heart attack, stroke or vascular disease AND high blood pressure
- One additional risk factor for developing heart failure (assessed at screening)
- Diabetic or non-diabetic
- Oral tablet daily
Chronic Kidney Disease and High Blood Pressure Study
Adelaide SA | Goolwa SA
A study to assess the effectiveness of a new medication in combinatinon with Dapagliflozin (a currently available medication) in people with Chronic Kidney Disease and High Blood Pressure.
- Age > 18 years
- Reduced kidney function (assesed by a blood test at screening)
- Taking regular blood pressure medication
- Blood pressure remains high despite medication
